A collaborative team led by CHENG Jinguang from the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, resorted to the polycrystalline samples of bilayer nickelates La3-xPrxNi2O7-δ, which can be prepared in a relatively large quantity with better controlled quality and reproducibility via wet-chemistry sol-gel method.

PhD student ZHANG Lifu and collaborators from Yunnan Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences discovered the stability of mass transfer in helium binary systems. They uncovered for the first time the details of adiabatic evolution of helium star mass loss and the important critical mass ratio during mass transfer.

Researchers from the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted an in-depth study of two adjacent massive HII regions, W5 molecular cloud complexes on the Perseus arm of the Milky Way. They revealed the feedback effects of massive stars on surrounding molecular clouds and star formation activities by conducting observations of CO (1-0) and NH₃.
