Since 2012, LIU Shaochuang has led a team in tracking and studying wild camels using satellite remote sensing technology. Unlike zoologists who focus on species, Liu has studied the interrelationship between endangered animals and their environment, which he believes will help develop better protection strategies against the background of climate change.

For many years, China remained a great fantasy in Professor Aldo's imagination. Now the time has come for him to visit colleagues in the country, build common projects and enjoy the monuments, experience the natural scenarios and the culture of the empire that he had known as kids from the book of Marco Polo. Professor Aldo is now building a new research unit "Laboratory of Inflammation and Vaccines" at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, with a group of young Chinese scientists. This is a laboratory aiming to develop novel immunotherapeutic drugs and vaccines.
