The Graduate University of CAS (GUCAS) recently set up a College of Computing and Communication Engineering on the basis of its former College of Software Engineering. The nameplate unveiling ceremony of the college was held on May 11 in Beijing. CAS Executive Vice President BAI Chunli, who is also President of GUCAS, and Mr. XI Guohau, Vice Minister of Information Industry and founding dean of the new college were present to witness the event. The college will train high-level application-oriented professionals for the industries of software, information and computers.
