Shanghai Institutes of Biological Sciences, CAS, and French Center for International Research on Agriculture Development (CIRAD) signed a letter of intent for cooperation November 23 in Shanghai.
The two parties agreed to undertake research in crop functional genomics under the Shanghai Sino-French Genome Cooperative Framework. They also agreed in principle to set up a joint laboratory in Shanghai and to engage in regular exchanges of information, technology and personnel.
The letter was signed by ISBS president Pei Gang and CIRAD president Daniel Nahon.
CAS vice president Chen Zhu attended the signing ceremony.
