CAS mathematician elected into IMU executive committee
At the 15th General Assembly of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) held recently, Ma Zhiming from the CAS Academy of Mathematics and Systems Sciences was elected vice president of the IMU Executive Committee (2007-2010). The Committee consists of ten voting members for four-year terms: the four officers (president, two vice presidents, and secretary) and six other members.
