The CAS affiliated University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the Kyoto University (KU) singed an educational cooperation agreement in the city of Kyoto, Japan on May 13. Zhu Qingshi, President of USTC, and Kazuo Oike, President of KU attended the signing ceremony.
The two presidents were both satisfied with the achievements attained from the cooperation in the engineering courses during the past two years. In order to further develop their rewarding cooperation, they decided to establish a comprehensive academic agreement.
For the future, the two universities will carry out cooperative researches, encourage exchange activities between the professors as well as students, jointly hold academic conferences and realize effective exchange of data and information.
When interviewed by the Japanese media present at the event, Pro. Zhu Qingshi said that the agreement not only strengthens the academic ties between the two universities, but ultimately, it makes contribution to the promotion of the friendly relationship between the two peoples.
