CAS institute to train plasma researchers for developing countries

The Institute of Plasma Physics of the CAS Hefei Institutes of Physical Sciences has been chosen by the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) to be a train center for plasma specialists from developing countries for the next five years.

During TWAS General Conference in 2003 in Beijing, CAS announced that it would join the TWAS fellowship program by providing 50 research fellowships each year to scientists from other developing countries.

CAS Institutes

There are 124 Institutions directly under the CAS by the end of 2012, with 104 research institutes, five universities & supporting organizations, 12 management organizations that consist of the headquarters and branches, and three other units.
