On the occasion of the 82nd founding anniversary of the Party, the Party Leading Member Group at CAS held a rally on July 2 to commend those who had scored outstanding achievements in the fight against SARS.
On the occasion of the 82nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the CPC Leading Member Group at CAS (LMG-CAS) held a rally on July 2 in Beijing to commend those units and individuals that had scored outstanding achievements in the fight against SARS.
At the meeting, CAS Vice President Bai Chunli announced the LMG-CAS decision to commend advanced party members and grass-root groups in SARS control and prevention, and representatives of those praised reported on their work. They included Zhong Ershun from the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Resources Research, Li Xingge from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Wen Jie from the Beijing Genomics Institute and Shi Kan from the Institute of Psychology.
The conference was chaired by Prof. Guo Chuanjie, LMG-CAS vice secretary. CAS President Lu Yongxiang delivered an important speech.
