The winners of the first physics photowalk at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) were announced after two rounds of voting by the local judges on August 27.

The first physics photowalk competition at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) gathered 12 selected photographers into five areas of the institute for three hours on August 7, to explore the physics laboratories freely and photograph the physics behind the scenes.

The IHEP event is part of the Global Physics Photowalk, organized by the Interactions collaboration and hosted this summer at 17 labs around the world. This year’s event features labs and institutions in Australia, Europe and Asia, as well as the United States. Global winners will be publicly announced on Sunday 1 October, at the international Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) annual conference in Hartford, Connecticut.
