Sino-Japan forum on S&T policy and strategy held in Xinjiang
The fifth Sino-Japan Forum on S&T Policy and Strategy was held on 3 June in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It was attended by scholars and administrators from research institutes, universities, science finding agencies in the two countries.
The participants held discussions on the evaluation system, finance management and personnel management of research institutes. CAS Vice President SHI Erwei, and Mr Yukihide Hayashi, Director-General of Science and Technology Policy Bureau under the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology delivered speeches at the meeting.
Vice Governor of the Xinjiang Region JIN Nuo and Japan Science Foundation President Akito ARIMA were also present at the forum.
