Aug 06, 2015

 Recruitment Announcement:

Executive Deputy Director of State Key Laboratory of Luminescence and Applications in CIOMP

Description

The State Key Laboratory of Luminescence and Applications (SKLLA) is recruiting an Executive Deputy Director. Founded in 1989 and based at the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP), the SKLLA focuses on wide bandgap semiconductor luminescence, laser and photoelectric detection; organic optoelectronic materials and devices; new luminescence and laser material, physics and applications; and high-power semiconductor laser light sources and their applications. SKLLA has established several research platforms in public testing, photoelectric devices, organic optoelectronic preparation and new material preparation. Furthermore, SKLLA has made groundbreaking progress in the areas of high-power semiconductor lasers, wide bandgap semiconductor luminescence, and rare-earth luminescence physics. SKLLA has also translated basic research results into engineering achievements that have received recognition from experts worldwide and have contributed to the rapid development of related subjects.

SKLLA now has 90 scientific staff, 23 of whom are professors. Current researchers include one Chinese Academy of Science(CAS) academician, one chief scientist from the National Program on Key Basic Research (973 Program), and five scholars from the CAS ‘100 Talents Program’. Two researchers have been awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, respectively. SKLLA research has produced more than 2000 papers in leading academic journals such as Chemical Review, Advanced Materials, Physical Review Letters, and ACS Nano. In the future, SKLLA will not only consolidate its existing research subjects but also establish new research directions and cultivate new areas of growth. By doing so, SKLLA will promote the innovation skills within the field of luminescence and strengthen theoretical research to maintain core technology breakthroughs.

SKLLA is located in Changchun, the capital city of Jilin province and the center of its economy, culture, finance, trade and transportation. Called the ‘culture city’ because of the many universities and research institutions, Changchun is an ideal place for scientific research.

Adhering to the principles of openness, equality, fair competition and merit, SKLLA is now recruiting for an Executive Deputy Director.
