A new website group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences made up by over 270 Chinese and English sub-stations was launched on October 29 in celebration of CAS’ 60th anniversary.

The CAS Website Group Project is consisted of 159 Chinese and 116 English sub-stations, with the official website of CAS (both Chinese and English) as its main station.

More information and data is available in the new website group. Information is sorted out by category in the English website, aiming to provide international readers the content they need from CAS. For scientific practitioners like David Bacon, designate UK Science and Technology Counselor in China, the new website is “helpful for us to find the research institutes and researchers, collect useful scientific data”.

Operation of the new website group will help to strengthen scientific communication between China and international research institutes.

"If CAS can maintain and update the website and fill it up with the kinds of information that international readers would like to see, then I think it would be a tremendous step-forward for the visibility of China’s research system,” said Chris Godwin, Director of Research Councils UK.
