On March 2nd, 2016, the signing ceremony of the technology transfer agreement for “Ammoniation of MEA to synthesis EDA and Piperazine in a Hydrogen Flow” between Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) and Indian Balaji Benzochem Private was held at DICP.

DICP vice director Prof. YANG Xueming and Balaji Benzochem Private chairman and managing director Mr. A. Prathap Reddy signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.

Prof. YANG welcomed the guests from Balaji Benzochem Private and expressed congratulations on the technology cooperation between both sides. Mr. A. Prathap Reddy introduced the basic situation of Balaji, retrospected the history of mutual cooperation and called for more win-win collaborations in the future. "Ammoniation of MEA to synthesis EDA and Piperazine in a Hydrogen flow" is a package of industrial technology with independent intellectual property rights developed by the joint effort of two research groups at DICP. After years of industrial application and continuous technical improvement, this technology has reached the leading international level.

Balaji Benzochem Private, located in Telangana (India), is a famous chemical company with strong economic and technical strength, and its main products include Amines and other fine chemicals. The successful signing of this project witnesses the first industrial technology export of DICP towards foreign enterprises, which is not only a landmark of the internationalization of self-developed technology from DICP, but also a successful practice of the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative.
