On August 11, the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) held a joint webinar on materials science.

A total of 26 scientists from 12 research institutions and universities, including NIMTE, National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, Shanghai Institute of Ceramics of CAS, TUBITAK Marmara Research Center, Bilkent University and Sabanci University, etc., participated in the webinar with an online audience of nearly 200. They discussed topics of common interest in basic research on advanced materials such as nanomaterials, magnetic materials, polymers, biological materials and their applications.

By sharing their research progress and research interests, the researchers got to know each other and developed new partnerships.

Both sides decided to support further collaborations and continue efforts to promote the development of materials science research in both China and Turkey. As a co-organizer, NIMTE will be a part of the collaboration.
