Balloon Vehicle Research Center, Academy of Opto-electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences completed flight test of airship KF13 successfully in a flight base in Changping District, Beijing on June 27.

The flight aims to demonstrate the comprehensive superiority of CAS and the achievements related to LTA vehicles, such as design and manufacture, propelling and flight control, battery technology, electro-optic payloads, system integration and testing etc.

The successful flight of airship KF13 showed the advantages of airship platform such as safety, stability and location capability in the field of aviation-earth observation, and broad application prospects.
