Neodymium-based polybutadiene rubber (NdBR) is an indispensable material for high performance radial tire, especially used in passenger car’s tire manufacture. Through coorporation the between the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry and PetroChina, a 300,000 ton/a production line has been set up for NdBR production. NdBR produced with our own catalyst technology has characteristics of high cis-1,4 stereo-regularity, good autoadhesion and excellent processing and mechanical properties, embodying superior performances in abrasion, fatigue, heat-building, wet-skidding, rolling resistance and durability to that of traditional nickel- or cobaltbased cis-1,4 polybutadiene rubber in manufacturing radial tire for modern automobiles.
