863 Program-"A High-performance Application System for Airborne SAR Remote Sensing"
2010-06-01
Completion of Aircraft Modification and 1st Flight

Undertaken by CEODE, a research project entitled "A High-performance Application System for Airborne SAR Remote Sensing-the overall system and system integration technology"(the 863 Program) has made a mojor progress on the fulfillment of remote sensing aircraft modification and the first flight.

This marked an initial success in the installation of high-performance application system for airborne SAR remote sensing and the kickoff of a full equipment installation, which gave rise to the improvement of applicable capability of remote sensing aircraft. It was considered as a comprehensive platform for microwave remote sensing monitoring and the experimental flight platform for microwave remote sensing facilities.

Under the guidance of the National Science and Technology Development Plan and 11 Five-Year Plan, the implementation of the project will be conducive to the further development of the High-performance Application System for Airborne SAR Remote Sensing with a crucial breakthrough of the multi-band interferometric SAR technologies, so as to significantly enhance the capabilities of SAR remote sensing data acquisition and processing and boost the development of airborne SAR remote sensing industry.
