he spectra of highly ionized sulfur in the wavelength range 170 - 500 Å have been studied by Zhihu YANG and other members of atomic physics group 2 at Institute of Modern Physics,CAS. In this work, forty-two lines have been observed and identified, among which twenty-two for the highly ionized sulfur are firstly measured. These experimetal results have been published on Astronomical Journal (2009,137:4020–4023). Figure 1 shows the spectra obtained using 50 MeV sulfur ions beam in the wavelength interval 170-500 Å. |
