International Journal of Digital Earth Gains an Impact Factor of up to 0.864
2010-06-29

Journal Citation Reports (JCR), an international authoritative tool in journal evaluation, announced on June 18 that International Journal of Digital Earth (IJDE) gained an impact factor of 0.864 for 2009. IJDE thus has become one of the influential journals in geo-spatial information sciences.

IJDE is an official journal of the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE), which is sponsored by the CEODE, and published by ISDE and Taylor & Francis Group – a renowned publisher in England. IJDE was founded in March 2008, and included in SCI in August 2009.

As the first international academic journal in the field of digital earth, IJDE has become an important international academic exchange platform conducive to the comprehensive and rapid development of digital earth sciences.

Attributed to its high-quality, widely-cited papers and rapid development of digital earth technologies in recent years, IJDE was included in SCI 18 months after its inception and gained an impact factor of up to 0.864 for the first time 2 years after its inauguration.
