During the meeting, ICCE Presidium held a meeting to summarize the works for 2001-2010 and discussed the planning for the next three years. ICCE Presidium also discussed the details for the 2012 ICCE International Symposium. The 2012 Symposium will be held in Chengdu, China. Chengdu Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment (IMHE) has been successful in the bid for the right to host it. 

Prof. ZHANG Xinbao, Dr. BAO Yuhai from IMHE was invited to this meeting and delivered a speech. As the chairman of the fourth discussion group, Prof. ZHANG Xinbao also presided over a discussion meeting.

Besides, Dr. D. E. Walling, guest professor of IMHE was awarded an Honorable Doctoral Degree of Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
