CIB professors attended the Bhote Kosi Watershed Management Symposium, which is a part of the External Cooperation Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences “Primary research on the process of the Earth’s surface and regional adaptation in Himalayas under the climate changing”.
Prof.Jiang gave the presentation “Amphibian diversity in Himalayas and adaptation to the environments” in the symposium
As amphibians are the best indicator species of climate change, their phylogeny, temporal and spatial succession, and adaptation to the environments have great scientific value and realistic significance under global warming.
Prof. JIANG as the leader of the experts group of biodiversity organized specific discussions on the biodiversity in Himalayas during the symposium.
CIB professors together with Nepalese experts jointly carried out a field survey of biodiversity in the lower and middle reach of Bhote Kosi River.
