"Chinese-German Meeting on Stochastic Analysis and Related Fields” was held from May 3 to 7, 2010 in Beijing, China.
Prof. MA Zhiming from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (AMSS) and Prof. Michael Roeckner from Bielefeld University served as the general co-chairs of the meeting. About 220 scholars from China, Germany and other countries attended the meeting, including Paul Malliavin, Jean-Michel Bismut of French Academy of Science and MA Zhiming, YAN Jia'an, CHEN Mufa, PENG Shigers of Chinese Academy of Science, i.e., .
Prof. GUO Lei, president of AMSS, Prof. ZHAO Miaogen, deputy director of the Sino-German Center for Research Promotion delivered speeches at the opening ceremony, respectively. Mr. Matthias Hack, Counselor for Scientific and Technological Affairs from German Embassy in China expressed warm congratulations on behalf of the Germany government.
The meeting aimed at reporting recent progress and frontiers in stochastic analysis and related fields, including their interactions with physics, economics and finance, passing on long and successful collaboration between Chinese and German scientists to younger generation from both countries, and providing a platform for the interactions between graduate students and researchers.
The meeting was co-sponsored by AMSS, DFG ( Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, Germany ), 973 Project “Topics in Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics” and Key Laboratory of Random Complex Structures and Data Science, CAS.
