Four Russian engineers from Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics(BINP) visited the Institute of Modern Physics,CAS (IMP) for the installation and test of the energy detuning system for the electron cooler at CSRm of Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL). CSRm is the main ring of Cooling Storage Ring(CSR) at HIRFL.

Designed as required by the atomic physics experiments at IMP, the electron beam energy detuning system is the key equipment for electron-ion resonance & recombination measurement experiments at CSRm. The installation, test and commissioning of the system were completed on March 24, 2010.

Over the past decades, the cooperation in science and technology between IMP and BINP has been greatly strengthened. BINP experts have made significant contributions to the construction of the CSR at HIRFL.
