| 2009-09-24 |
School of Life Sciences at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is recruiting its dean at the global recruitment market.
The school of Life Sciences evolved from the department of bio-physics that was established in Beijing 1958. The department merged with then newly-built department of physics in 1964 and moved to Hefei in 1970. The specialty bio physics grew independent from the department of physics and formed the department of biology in 1978. The School of Life Sciences was set up in 1998, and it has become an important base for both research and education.
USTC is working to build an international first-class university, and life sciences are one of its priorities. The university expects that a dean with an international vision and great leadership skills will enhance the school's academic and education capacities and lead the school into the international arena. |
