| 16 CAS Institutes Depart for USA to Draw Talents |

16 institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have start for New York of the United States to recruit high level Chinese talents on September 9, which is the largest scale activity in the recent years.
The "Talents Drawing" covers research areas such as coal, ocean, optics, materialogy, geography and agriculture, nanometer and environment.
Many of the established institutes with tens of years of history are among the queue, including Institute of High Energy Physics, Institute of Mechanics. Five to six newly established institutes also joined the team.
CAS will pay one million RMB to the selected candidates and provide research funding as high as 10 million Yuan, or even more.
Those with Doctor's Degree and four years' oversea science research experience or with outstanding achievements as a leading role or backbone member in a subject study are welcomed to the "One Hundred Talents Program". The applicants should be under 40 years old.
CAS has also another high level talents program, "Thousand Talents Program", aiming to draw researchers that had work as professors in famous oversea universities or research institutes. The applicants should have stayed and been working in China for at least nine months.
China has seen more and more oversea students in America in recent years. More homebound students choose to start their career in China. |
