| Blueprint for Wuhan Megalopolis well received |

The overall planning for the Wuhan Megalopolis, which is worked out by researchers under the coordination of the CAS Institute of Geological Sciences and Natural Resources Research (GSNRR), is spoken highly by local authorities.
On behalf of the research team, Prof. MAO Hanying from GSNRR made a presentation at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee held on 14 December in Wuhan, capital of the central China's province.
Started in early 2005, the planning was primarily completed at the end of the same year. Three large-scale opinion-solicitations and five revisions have been made before it was accepted by a panel of experts led by Members of CAS and the Chinese Academy of Engineering under the auspices of the Hubei Provincial Government. |
