Institute of Optics and Electronics (IOE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), is the largest institute in Southwest China. Orienting in the direct of national demands and world scientific and technological frontiers in optics & electronics as well photonics, IOE focuses on basic, applied and prospective hi-tech research and innovation exploration of system integration. There are 3 key laboratories, including CAS Key Laboratory of Adaptive Optics, State Key Laboratory of Optical Technologies of Micro-fabrication and so on. Its major research fields involve optical engineering, adaptive optics, electro-optical observation and recognition of astronomical objects, electro-optical precision measuring, micro-optics and micro-electronic optics, advanced optical manufacture and testing, biomedical optics and so on. The institute undertakes many key projects, such as National 863 Program, National 973 Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, programs from national ministries and committees of China, and many development projects commissioned by enterprises.

Based on research requirement, IOE invites domestic and overseas scientist and experts in optics auto-control fields and to join us.

• The selected talents will enjoy the national wages, welfares and medical treatments, and the position allowance.
• IOE will provide a set of lodging in Chengdu urban area for the employed talent. And the lodging will belong to the talent after he works in IOE for ten years as personnel of the Hundred Talents Program.
• IOE will offer 0.70 million (RMB) as the research start-up funds. Talents can apply 1 million (RMB) support from Ministry of Financial through the CAS.

3 Qualification（skills, knowledge, and abilities）

Oversea candidates should be no more than 40 years old. If the candidate is an assistant professor or higher and other similar academic title, he/she can be no more than 45 years old. Applicants for the domestic Hundred Talents Program is should be a professor or research professor and has made important achievements in related research fields.

3.1 Oversea talents

Candidates should be citizen of the People's Republic of China or foreign scholars who are willing to settle in china and abandon those foreign nationalities. Moreover, candidates should meet as follows:

• Have PhD in related field.
• Have demonstrated experience of succession scientific research work aboard for at least four years after receiving doctorate degree. The applicant should be an assistant professor or higher and other similar academic title.
• Have experience of taking charge of one or several projects independently or acting as one of main backbones of a whole subject and making remarkable progress and contribution.
• Have the ability to guide the direction of their research field, and have long-term strategic thinking.
• Have the ability to lead a team to explore S&T frontiers and make innovation achievements
• Have experience of making international level research achievements and presenting a number of influential papers in high influential journals, or mastering key technologies and possessing significant invention patents.
• Be integrity, dedication, creativity and team spirit.
