I. Research Domains:
Information and electronic technology, energy and environmental technology, medicine and bio technology, new material and process technology, advanced interdisciplinary studies.
II. Requirements:
Generally the eligible candidates must have obtained overseas doctoral degree, aged no more than 55 years’ old in principle. During the tenure of office, the candidate shall work in China for no less than 6 months each year as well as meet the following qualifications at a minimum: Experts or scholars holding position equivalent to professorship at famous overseas universities or research institutions; professional technical talents with senior titles in famous international enterprises; enterprising talents in possession of self-owned intellectual property rights and mastery of core technologies, with experience in independent entrepreneurship at abroad, familiar with relevant industries and international rules.
III. Benefits
Beside all the relevant benefits provided by the state government, the “Thousand Talents Program” awardees can enjoy the following funds& remuneration:
1. Start-up research fund: no less than 2,000,000 RMB
2. Salary:
1. Salary + Performance Bonus;
2. Or Consensual Annual Salary: 500,000-800,000 RMB/year.
SARI will select from the above-mentioned two payment methods in accordance with actual situation.
3. Welfare:
(1) Housing subsidy( for reference): 1000,000RMB
(2) For spouses of Thousand Talents Program awardees engaged from oversea, cities or provinces other than Shanghai who have not found a suitable job, a living subsidy at 1000 RMB/month will be distributed to them in no more than 12 months.
