Main functions: to draw up schemes of hi-tech industry development for the CAS; to supervise profits from CAS investments on the basis of property rights; and manage State-owned assets in CAS-run business entities. The Bureau of Domestic Cooperation serves as a liaison organ for integrating research institutes with local enterprises, administers technology transfers and hi-tech industrialization, and keeps in constant contact with CAS institutes engaged in technological development.
